SonicOS Enhanced is the powerful next-generation operating system from SonicWALL, offering a host of advanced features to meet the business continuity, configuration flexibility and management requirements of complex networks today and into the future. Available as an optional upgrade on the SonicWALL PRO 3060, SonicOS Enhanced provides superior networking and security features to maximize the capabilities of your SonicWALL appliance. Here are just some the advanced features enabled through SonicOS Enhanced: Additional Configurable Interfaces. SonicOS Enhanced activates three additional user-assigned ports on the PRO 3060 that can be configured either as additional LANs, WANs or DMZs, or as a Hardware Failover port, offering greater network configuration flexibility. WAN ISP Failover and Load Balancing. Offers the ability to configure the optional port as a secondary WAN port, delivering highly reliable network connectivity and robust performance. This secondary WAN port can be used in "active-active" load sharing or fail-over configuration providing a highly efficient method for maximizing total network bandwidth. Object-based Management. Provides the ability to define an object such as a user group, network address range, service or interface. When security policies change, the administrator can modify the pre-defined object and propagate the changes instantly without redefining rules, enabling businesses to implement and manage security policies easily and consistently. Policy-based NAT. In addition to NAT (many-to-one) functionality, SonicOS Enhanced exposes control of NAT policies to administrators for one-to-one NAT, many-to-many NAT, one-to-many NAT, inbound Port Address Translation (PAT), flexible NAT (for overlapping IP addresses), as well as NAT policies on selective source/destination/source translations. The result is greater control and flexibility to support and manage various NAT requirements. Integrated Wireless LAN Services. Enables the SonicWALL appliance to function as a secure wireless switch and controller that automatically detects and configures SonicPoints, SonicWALL wireless access points, as they are added to the network while simultaneously enforcing security policies on all wired and wireless traffic. Real-Time Blacklist Spam Filtering.
