Novell NetMail 3.5 is a full-featured, easy-to-deploy collaboration system that simplifies the complexities and lowers the costs of deploying a traditional in-house e-mail system. Now available in two versions - Foundation and Advanced - NetMail provides options in selecting an e-mail and calendaring system that meets the needs of your organization. By providing global communication at an affordable cost, Novell NetMail 3.5 gives you the power to change how you do business. The Advanced version includes NetMail 3.1 features (including address books, aliasing, anti-SPAM and anti-virus functions, calendars, task-oriented management and more) as well as several new components: optimized, performance-improving core agents; new memory management; memory-based locking (instead of file-based locking); additional Web-browser support; Webmail calendaring; and Pluspack (including system signatures, message copy, and remote access). In addition, Advanced users will enjoy using features like free/busy searches, resource scheduling, shared folders and calendars, user proxy, delegation and message prioritization. Perhaps the biggest change found in NetMail 3.5 is Novell Nsure Audit, which NetMail uses across multiple platforms to screen and secure data. Nsure Audit is capable of capturing specific types of events based on criteria you define and writing those events to secondary data stores or providing event notification. Moreover, because Nsure Audit can process over 60, 000 events per second on a P4 Xeon class server, it's capable of keeping up with your messaging. The bottom line: NetMail 3.5 will simplify administration, drive down costs associated with incorporating a high-performance messaging system and allow users to access collaboration services anytime, anywhere - more than ever before.
