The EtherExpress PRO/100 Mobile Adapter LAN+Modem56 PC Card delivers complete LAN and modem support in a single high-performance card. Flexible 10/100Mbps connectivity gives you full LAN support at the office and the 56K modem ensures peak performance over standard telephone lines on the road. This easy-to-use card auto-negotiates to the highest available speed in all operating modes--up to 56Kbps for modem, up to 14.4Kbps for fax. You can access e-mail, send faxes and download information fast. This mobile adapter supports K56flex technology, which lets you download information at nearly twice the speed of conventional V.34 modem technology. K56flex is already supported by many service providers. If needed, when the future 56K International Telephone Union (ITU) standard is established, a simple Flash ROM upgrade will ensure that you enjoy continued compatibility and peak performance with all standard compatible modems. Intel EtherExpress PRO/100 Mobile Adapters autosense network speed for plug-and-play connections to 10 and 100Mbps Ethernet LANs. All of the adapters support major network operating systems, so you can connect with ease to your network. You get the full advantage of Fast Ethernet speeds where available, and are still able to connect easily to 10Mbps segments.
