The combination of speed and endurance on Hitachi's Travelstar E7K60 gives users an industrial strength 2.5-inch hard drive to take on demanding data-access requirements typical of applications such as network routers, point-of-sale terminals, blade-servers, and telephony networking systems. Users who require high data availability can take advantage of the "always-on" characteristic of Hitachi's Travelstar E7K60. Because the drive never has to wake up from sleep mode, users can access their data more quickly yielding improved transactional time. The drives are designed to allow users to leave it powered on around the- clock and supports a read/write duty cycle of up to 50 percent - more than twice the level supported on standard mobile drives. Designed specifically for continuous operation, the Travelstar E7K60 extends the Travelstar tradition of delivering performance and reliability. The 9.5mm high, 7200 RPM 2.5-inch Travelstar E7K60 provides added benefits to users, including minimal heat emission for optimal performance, low power consumption, and a small form factor for compact environments.
