The SMC6405TX combines the power of dual-speed switching and auto-negotiation with the ease-of-use and affordability of traditional shared hubs. The new switch provides speeds up to 200 Mbps per port, with full-duplex capability on each, generating heightened performance without the congestion problems associated with shared hubs. The auto-sensing 10/100 ports automatically detect the speed and duplex modes of attached devices, and allow the switch to automatically self-configure for optimal performance. A designated uplink port allows for easy network expansion as needs change. The plug-and-play SMC6405TX provides filtering and forwarding at full wire speed on all ports, and gives you automatic address learning with a 2,000 entry MAC address table. At-a-glance LEDs provide link status and network monitoring on all ports. The new switch is fully auto-configuring, and requires no user setup.
