intraNetWare for SAA 3.0 is a Novell connectivity product that seamlessly integrates IBM mainframes and AS/400s with intraNetWare and NetWare networks. Developed as a result of collaboration between Novell and IBM, intraNetWare for SAA provides Novell network users with the most reliable and flexible connectivity to IBM host and AS/400 environments. intraNetWare for SAA provides host access for all major desktop clients, including Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 3.1, UNIX, OS/2, Mac OS, and DOS. intraNetWare for SAA also supports TN3270, TN3270E, and TN5250 connectivity. intraNetWare and NetWare clients can access host data and applications while maintaining access to the files and services on intraNetWare and NetWare servers. Built as a set of NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs), intraNetWare for SAA takes advantage of Novell Directory Services (NDS) and the security and administration features of NetWare. intraNetWare for SAA is a flexible product and an ideal host connectivity solution for large data center installations as well as small branch office sites. When installed in a data center, its high-capacity, load-balancing, and server-based Hot Standby features enable intraNetWare for SAA to provide consistent performance and reliable host connectivity to large numbers of users. At departmental and branch office locations, end users can access centralized intraNetWare for SAA servers using IPX/SPX, IP, and AppleTalk protocols. intraNetWare for SAA can also be run on remote servers and connected directly to host systems using System Network Architecture (SNA) protocols.
