The MultiModemZPX data/fax modem is ideal for telecommuters and SOHO users. It includes a built-in processor to enhance performance and data throughput. In addition to the high-speed connection, the 56K MultiModemZPX delivers support for voice mail, full-duplex speakerphone, and Plug and Play installation. Plus you get maximum performance with 32-bit PCI bus models and can provide 56K technology to older PCs with 16-bit ISA bus models. The MultiModemZPX always works because it is controller-based. This means that the modem handles its own processing. By comparison, Windows modems require the computer's processor and operating system to do all of the processing, which means they can quickly become incompatible with operating system upgrades. You won't sacrifice computer performance with this controller-based modem.
