The IBM 8X MAX Internal IDE DVD-ROM Drive is a stand-alone (drive is not bundled with an MPEG player) drive, providing read-only function for data DVD media with capacities from 4.7GB up to 17GB. The black color of the drive is designed to blend with IBM IntelliStation and Netfinity systems. The 40X-17X CD-ROM function of the 8X MAX DVD-ROM Drive provides an optical solution that is ready to handle today's mainstream CD-ROM applications. It is also equipped to move forward to the new applications of DVD-ROM technology of today and the future.
