The D-Link DES-1048G switch offers a very cost-effective solution for the large workgroup. It provides a very high port density for a very low-cost per-port connection. It gives you 48 10/100Mbps ports, plus 2 Gigabit ports, all in one low profile rack-mountable case. All 10/100Mbps ports auto-sense the network speed of the computers and hubs to run at either 10Mbps or 100Mbps auto-negotiate between full/half duplex, and support flow control. IEEE 802.3x Flow Control allows your servers to directly connect to this switch for fast, reliable data transfer. At 200Mbps full duplex, this switch provides high-speed data pipes to your servers with minimum data transfer loss. 2 Gigabit ports are provided on the backside in the GBIC configuration.
