The D-Link DE-660CT is a powerful MobileNet Ethernet PC Card for notebook computers. It is designed to unleash the power of today's notebooks and turn them into robust stations or servers in diverse networking environments. MobileNET brings throughput up significantly compared with the conventional PC cards even in the half-duplex mode. The turbo power is build directly into MobileNET's controller, dispensing users of the need for band-air drivers. MobileNet's full-duplex function allows a notebook to connect to a switch and become a power server, receiving and transmitting data at the same time on a dedicated 20Mbps bandwidth MobileNET's innovative Just In-Time Interrupt (JITI) technology boosts I/O speed further. The card temporarily interrupts the host's operation to permit prioritized network data to pass through and eliminate delays. MobileNET's driver programs automatically search for and assign an available IRQ and I/O address.
