The SANworks Management Appliance II provides a centralized point for configuration, management and monitoring of SAN elements, including Compaq switches and storage devices while simplifying management tasks and reducing management cost. The Management Appliance offers a comprehensive and most cost-effective configuration, monitoring and storage management solution for the multiple platform SAN. The SANworks Management Appliance II provides centralized Web-based storage configuration and monitoring tool to manage across network and multi-vendor platforms. It simplifies SAN element management through a single, highly scalable, host-independent management point for a range of storage configurations across heterogeneous SANs and improves security by providing SAN monitoring and management independent of host servers. High performance is provided by locating the Management Appliance II out of the SAN data path, and monitoring proceeds without adversely impacting performance. The Management Appliance II supports the Open SAN by providing the first and only host-independent SAN monitoring solution. It reduces Total Cost of SAN Ownership through a comprehensive, highly scalable, host-independent management platform for various sized storage configurations.
