And if you are planning to connect more than one server to the same UPS, PowerChute plus provides safe, unattended, multiple server shutdown. Because you never know when a power crisis situation may arise, PowerChute plus offers you proactive UPS management. It schedules a Smart-UPS or Matrix-UPS to perform periodic self-tests to monitor the health of the UPS. When necessary, it will also turn off the UPS's power outlets, conserving the battery for subsequent power outages while decreasing recharge time. PowerChute plus includes a managed power tool box for graphical displays, event logging, and parameter configurations. It even allows you to program remote UPSs from a local workstation. And for Internet/intranet integration, PowerChute plus provides three features: WebAgent, allowing users to monitor their UPS utilizing a Web browser; WebAlert, notifying those using a Web browser that a UPS is running on battery and that the server will be shut down; and Web Server Shutdown, providing unattened graceful shutdown of a Web server application in the event of an extended power outage.
