Sony, the co-founder of the DDS format, is again the first to bring the benefits of new this generation into the market. This model boasts 40 GB capacity and 4.8 MB/s sustained data transfer rate (with 2:1 compression). It offers read and write compatibility with DDS-4, DDS-3, DDS-2, and DDS-1 tape formats.
