The first time the software is used it will perform a mirror image backup of all the contents of the internal hard drive, including the boot sector, system files, personal and network settings. A DataSync utility on subsequent insertions allows the user to synchronize data on both the internal hard drive and Flip2disk ensuring that data on both drives are identical. Flip Back also incorporates a Hot Sync utility, which automatically launches Data Sync each time Flip2disk is attached to the PC Desktop or Laptop. This facility can be controlled by the user to achieve maximum flexibility and includes choice of partitioned drive, folders or files as well as a backup reminder utility. In the event of a laptop hard drive failure users can replace the failed hard drive with the hard drive inside the Flip2disk This allows immediate access to all data including operating system, boot sector, system files, programs and user files which would otherwise of been lost.
