The ADR2 120ide digital tape drive is ideally suited to meet the storage requirements of small businesses, corporate departmental and workgroup servers. Featuring OnStream's second-generation Advanced Digital Recording technology, the ADR2 120ide offers speeds of up to 5 MB/s and multi-platform support. This drive offers a truly unique blend of price, capacity and performance. Enhanced IDE interface delivers superior performance. Continuous variable speed keeps the tape moving, eliminating start-stop inefficiencies and delivers consistent transfer rates for optimal performance. Native IDE support means no additional SCSI card is needed. Spatially distributed ECC across 8 channels protects your data, delivering industry-leading reliability that reduces permanent bit errors to less than 1 in 10. OnStream's drive design provides a reliability rating of 400,000 hours MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures). Linear recording gently moves the tape across the head, allowing the tape to remain safely inside the tape cartridge thus reducing tape wear and noise.
