The GCE-8240B Rewritable Recorder offers 24-speed CD-R, 10-speed CD-RW and 40-speed CD-ROM functions. It uses "Fail Free Technology", the optimized writing method based on artificial intelligence technology, to record data in the speed most reliable in the user environment. The product also adopted the "Zone CLV" (Constant Linear Velocity) method for high-speed writing. With Zone CLV, the disk is divided into zones to ensure reliability of data recording by keeping the writing speed of the inner and outer areas of the CD to be consistent with each other. The large buffer memory and incorporated buffer underrun prevention technology ensure maximum reliability in data storage. LG Electronics' CD-RW drive is also the first in the world to incorporate a new design that minimizes noise, vibration, and heat emission coming from continuous data recording and playback.
