Designed for critical operations which must remain running, iMcV-FT-MediaLinX is a fault tolerant, SNMP-manageable, IEEE 802.3 10/100 switching media converter that converts both speed and media. iMcV-FT-MediaLinX provides a dual data path (primary, Port A and secondary, Port B) to the network for an added level of fault tolerance. If the primary link segment fails, iMcV-FT-MediaLinX will automatically place the secondary link segment online and make the primary link segment non-active, allowing connected devices to continue to transmit and receive data. SNMP-manageable, the MediaLinX series enables network managers to configure the twisted pair port for Auto-Negotiation or Selective Advertising, or force the speed to 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps and between Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex. What's more, you can even the 100 Mbps fiber port for Half- or Full-Duplex operation. iMcV-FT-MediaLinX Modules are easy to configure and manage with the GUI-based iView2 SNMP management application software, or with any other SNMP application such as HP OpenView. iView2 runs standalone on Windows NT/XP/2000, as a standalone Java Application for other operating systems, as a snap-in module for HP OpenView, as a Web Server running under IIS or as a Java Web Servlet. Hot-swappable iMcV-MediaLinX Modules significantly reduce operation costs by allowing other modules within the same iMediaCenter chassis to remain up and running during product upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting. iMcV-FT-MediaLinX Modules include LEDs to assist in network diagnostics and troubleshooting.
