Converting between copper and fiber, 10/100 data rates and Half/Full duplex, the MediaLinX 10/100 switching media converters are the most flexible in the industry, enabling network administrators to connect 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps twisted pair networks to 100Base-FX fiber optic infrastructures. Available as a standalone unit or as an SNMP manageable module, the MediaLinX series enable network managers to configure the twisted pair port for Auto-Negotiation or Selective Advertising, or force the speed to 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps and between Half-Duplex and Full-Duplex. What's more, even the fiber port can be set for Half- or Full-Duplex operation if required. The MediaLinX series of fiber converters is also available in single-strand fiber versions to effectively double the data transport capacity of the fiber, as well as fault-tolerant (FT) versions for mission-critical applications. iMcV-MediaLinX Modules are easy to configure and manage with the GUI-based iView2 SNMP management application software, or with any other SNMP application such as HP OpenView. Hot-swappable iMcV-MediaLinX Modules significantly reduce operation costs by allowing other modules within the same iMediaCenter chassis to remain up and running during product upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting. iMcV-MediaLinX Modules include LEDs to assist in network diagnostics and troubleshooting.
