Eiconcard Universal Connections Suite CD contains: Eiconcard Connections for Linux, Eiconcard Connections for Windows, Eiconcard Connections for ISO Transport. Eiconcard Connections for Linux is a set of drivers for connecting Linux Servers to Wide Area Networks using Eicon Networks' intelligent multiprotocol communication adapters. Similarly, Eiconcard Connections for Linux is a communications and utilities software designed to use with Eicon Networks' Eiconcards. Corporations are increasingly adopting Linux-based servers for their Internet connectivity and remote access needs. Eicon Networks is prepared to meet the exploding demand for Linux-based networking solutions by introducing products such as Eiconcard Connections for Linux. Eiconcard Connections for Linux with an S-Series card provide the ideal functionality necessary for the thin server / network appliance market. Eiconcard Connections for Windows NT, 2000 & XP is a server-based router that extends the WAN capabilities of Microsoft Windows NT, 2000 & XP. By taking advantage of the versatility of the Eiconcard, branch offices can meet their needs for Internet and Intranet access, routing and remote access. Eiconcard Connections for Windows NT, 2000 & XP includes drivers, which enable Eiconcards to work in the Windows NT, 2000, & XP environment, plus value-added software, which enhances and extends Windows functionality. For example, Lanpad permits LAN users to connect to an OSI host without the need for other software. Why does a customer need ISO Transport? If a customer is using an application that uses ITU-standard protocols, such as X.400 Email and FTAM file transfer, then they will need ISO transport software to make the link to the X.25 network.
