The SB4000 series is a flexible, scalable solution for Intelligent Gigabit switching in mid-tier core or high-density aggregation. The SB4000 with its full wirespeed, non-blocking switch fabric, flexible interfaces, and extensive QoS mechanisms, allows it to fulfill the role of high performance, high density Fast Ethernet at the edge of an intelligent network. Add in the redundant switch controllers and N+1 load sharing power supplies and the SB4000 fits nicely as a robust Gigabit switch at high-density aggregation or core locations. The SB4000 family allows you to tie devices or LANs together while offering the capability to intelligently control your network traffic. The SB4000 series is the largest, most powerful, switch family in Allied Telesis' product line. Using the field proven AlliedWare OS that is common to all the Layer 3 switches and routers, the SB4000 builds upon the solid foundation of standards-based products designed to deliver security and control - without impacting performance - across your network. The SB4000 fits into the growing family of Allied Telesis' proven Layer 3+ technology. The AT-SB4000 offers a complete range of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet connections. The Fast Ethernet line cards are fixed configurations of 48 port 10/100TX (RJ-45) and 32 port 100FX (MT-RJ). The Gigabit line cards are available in both 8 port fixed copper or fiber and 8 bay GBIC versions. The fixed versions are available in RJ-45, SC, or MT-RJ connector styles.
