3Com Firewall PC Cards with 10/100 LAN include a built-in 3Com Embedded Firewall license (security policy management requires 3Com Embedded Firewall Policy Server, sold separately) for secure, trusted access wherever users travel-even over vulnerable broadband connections. Unlike software-based solutions, firewall functionality is embedded into PC Card hardware, making security capabilities virtually tamperproof. These firewall PC Cards are a key component in 3Com's centrally managed, end-to-end Embedded Firewall solution. Additional features let you choose 56-bit DES or 168-bit 3DES encryption, and offload it to the card's security processor (Windows 2000 or XP required for offload capabilities) to boost performance.
