The 3Com OfficeConnect Switch 8 with Gigabit Uplink gives you flexibility to support demanding power users and changing network configurations. The switch features eight 10/100 ports, plus an ultra high-speed 10/100/1000 port to link to a high-speed server or a high-speed network backbone for existing or planned network upgrades. The 3Com OfficeConnect brand is your assurance that the switch is not only powerful, but also highly reliable and simple to install and operate. With plug-and-play convenience, the switch works right out of the box with no configuration or management required. Its non-blocking, autosensing 10/100/1000 port automatically adjusts to the speed of network devices communicating at 1000, 100, or 10 Mbps, so the port can be used for a high-speed server connection or as an additional "9th port" standard desktop connection.
